We enjoyed our stay in the apartment last month. The bedrooms and living room are so spacious, the kitchen fully equipped and to be able to do the laundry in-house after so many days on the road just made it all the more easier. The location is superb in Lapad as it is a very pretty area. The bonus is that the bus stop to the old town is immediately adjacent to the apartment and the bus ride takes only about ten minutes. Dubrovnik is a small peaceful city but above all the old town is one of the most beautiful and charming places we’ve ever visited (twice now).
Finally, Katija and Dado are simply two of the nicest and obliging people you could hope to meet. They were very kind and helpful when we met particularly as Dado went out searching the street for us when at first we got ourselves lost. We hope to get back to Dubrovnik and see them again one day.

The apartment was wonderful and very spacious. It was just a short walk from all amenities including the beach. It's on a pedestrian access only road which was especially safe for the kids. The beach was really nice and just a short walk (10 to 15 minutes) around the coast was a hotel where we could use their 2 pools, one of which was a paddling pool. The resturant was also great which meant we spent a couple of great days just lounging around.
Katija and Dado are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet, very freindly and helpful. We shall hopefully return one day soon.

This was our second time staying in the Bonacic apartment in Lapad. We stayed last year and enjoyed it so much we decided we wanted to return this summer to explore the area further. The apartment itself is first rate. In terms of location it is fantastic being right on the corner of the main strip in Lapad which stretches down to the small beach area at the end. The strip is full of good restaurants and small shops - lot's of choice but not overly busy. Also as the apartment has double glazing so that later at night if you are not out into the small hours of the morning the buzz outside doesn't prevent sleep. The bus stop is right outside the flat and it's only a short 10 minute ride into the buzz of Dubrovnik old town. To get to the bigger beach areas if you don't want to walk in the heat or take the car if you have one (parking can be difficult at the beach area) we found that the bus also takes you straight there, again in less than 10 mins. The apartment is large and airy and fully air conditioned which was a real highlight for us as temperatures soared outside. There are two balcony areas to view the buzz outside or sit with a beer and catch up on some reading. The kitchen area is fully functional with large fridge, dishwasher and all the pot's/pans etc you could need which was great as we had lazy breakfasts in the apartment most mornings. Also there is a washing machine and drying lines on the balconies. Endless stack of clean towels and bedding, plus washing up cleaners and powders meant that we didn't have to shop for this. On that note - around the corner just a few minutes away there is a butchers, and medium sized supermarket for fresh bread/milk, drinks etc. Each morning there is also a outside market selling fresh produces (fruit and vegetables). Another highlight of the apartment for us is a computer with full internet access in the living room, this was very useful as we had a 14year old with us and he was able to e-mail his friends and use the web in particular while the adults were chilling out or getting ready to go out. TV with CNN meant we were able to keep up with international news in English (although we decided to take a news holiday apart from the Olympic opening ceremony). The only one small suggestion we would make to add to the TV would be a DVD player so that the youngsters can watch the odd DVD if bored while the adults are sitting and relaxing on the balcony.

So, to sum up we would highly recommend this apartment and area if you are staying in Dubrovnik.

Highlights of our trip were, taking the boat trip, visits to the old town to soak up the atmosphere. If you are in the old town a must visit is the Bouza bar set into the cliff face with the most stunning views and relaxed atmosphere. The beaches are busy and although not sandy very pleasant with good areas for swimming. There are also some stunning coastal drives - we did one to visit the Arboretum gardens near Zaton, and then lunched at the Konoba Ankora restuarant in Zaton itself, (it was recommended to us and lived up to expectations), then back up the coast to Slano which has a beautiful little bay for swimming, and then on up the coast as far as the border crossing into Bosnia -Hercegovina. We didn't have our passports so couldn't cross over. The drive had some of the most stunning views you'll experience anywhere!

So, we would highly recommend this area of Croatia for holiday. We also loved the fact that there were not too many British people there, as far as we could see, and a wide range of European holiday makers, making it a truly international experience.

Fantastic location, brilliant apartment and a great holiday!!

What a "dream week"! After planning going to Dubrovnik, Croatia and some neighbour countries in about half a year we were two families leaving Norway for a week with apartment in Dubrovnik. Arriving Dubrovnik Katija and Dado met us near the apartment. Their kindness followed us during the week. In the kitchen there were food for the first day, and if we had any difficulties, we could call them. We got all the nessecary information which helped us to be known in the area at once. The apartment was superb for two families, four grown-ups and two youths. And the area arround is exactly what you can read about in their web-site. For us Dubrovnik also became "the city without clouds" - what we enjoyed. Dubrovnik is, in addition to be a lovely city, placed near nice areas, islands and historical places in other countries. We will recommend this apartment to other people who want to go to Dubrovnik. This is a home and area you will enjoy yourself. We wish to come back!!!

A superb apartment in an ideal situation for exploring the area – shops, restaurants, beaches, boats and buses all very close by. The accommodation had all the comforts of home with the air conditioning very welcome and the internet access a great hit with the children. At night very little noise could be heard from the road or bars and restaurants. On arrival there was a very warm welcome from the owners who gave very useful information about sightseeing, beaches and where to eat. Definitely will be back and will be recommending the accommodation to friends.

We'd like to recommend Apartment Bonacic - we spent a lovely week there 21-28 July 2007. Katija and Dado couldn't do enough for us - fresh food in the fridge and lots of advice about where to go and what to do. The flat is perfect - at the start of an attractive pedestian walkway to the beach lined with places to eat and a 10 minute bus ride to the beautiful old town. We'd recommend a boat trip to the Elaphite Islands on the KATARINA complete with fantastic lunch at the captain's house.

What a delight! Our hosts were helpful, the apartment perfectly appointed (the teens loved having the net and TV available and we were able to complete some business/work as well) and the location was better than we could have ever planned. We bussed to the Old Town frequently, walked to the beach daily, and when we wanted to be close to home, the restaurants less than two blocks away were very good. When we island hopped, the port was close enough. Parking was never a problem. Sound sleeping in temperature perfect surroundings, comfortable and well maintained everything, and such a great value. Don't miss this place!

We spent the first 2 weeks of April 2007 at the Apartment Bonacic. For us it was the perfect location because we could walk to the beach in a few minutes or get a bus to the Old Town right at the door. The apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet behind double glazed windows on a busy corner. Everything is provided to ensure a relaxing holiday. We hope to return on another occasion.

Thanks for your welcome and hospitality during our stay in Dubrovnik.
Your apartment is ideally located and has every facility literally on its doorstep - public transport, tourist infromation, supermarket, fresh produce market, post office, internet, ATM, barber, restaurants, beach, beautiful walks......Yet it was wonderfully private.
The facilities were excellent for four people and nothing more could be expected. The availabliity of the internet was wonderful.
We had a car and were worried about parking but it was not a problem.
We will recommend your place to anyone who is visiting Durbovnik. Once again many thanks.

Right from our very first contact by email we felt welcomed by Katija and Dado. Their efficient arrangements gave us great confidence and our arrival went very smoothly thanks to their assistance. As we were travelling with 3 children under 5 this was greatly appreciated. Katija had even put some supplies in the fridge for the kids.
Apartment Bonacic is well appointed and in a beautiful and convenient part of Dubrovnik. The whole family enjoyed our stay. Katija and Dado gave us great tips on where to go and where to eat.
Dubrovnik itself is very special and our decision to book the apartment has made our time there one of the highlights of our 3 month round the world trip.
We will definitely be coming back.

More than just a trip to Dubrovnik - thank you for making our stay memorable — you welcomed us warmly and were so informative about what we could do. Before coming we did not realise that Lapad itself was so attractive — in such easy reach of Dubrovnik - but a resort of its own — your apartment was so central to everything — the beach — pleasant restaurants — and spectacular views. The apartment was comfortable — and with a choice of two balconies — had everything and more than we required. Altogether a memorable stay. Sadly we didn't have time to do everything — so be warned, we will be back.

We want to say thanks for a nice vacation in Dubrovnik. We rented this apartment and that was a good idea – which we can recomend you to do. The apartment is located 5 minutes from the beaches of Lapad, at the end of a street with nice restaurants and bars, and near the bus stop for buses to the old city of Dubrovnik. The apartment was very nice and with everything we needed for making our holiday pleasant.
